There's been enough Reseda talk elsewhere, no need to restart the discussion. We are aware of how some fans feel about the venue, and those feelings were taken into account when looking for a location for the tournament. Above all else, the 2009 Battle of Los Angeles will still be two phenomenal nights of professional wrestling.

STEEN! Pretty much the perfect way to kick this off. Also of note: they posted a traditional 16-man bracket, so I'd consider it somewhat unlikely that they throw a 17th guy in like last year.

Man, there's nothing my nerdy ass loves more than seeing the mini-site fill up with names.

Guess I'll be buying pre-sale tickets. Anyway, I'm happy to see Kevin Steen back after a year plus absence.

I wonder if we will see "Dragon Gate Participation" again this year.

Wow, it appears that Mr. Wrestling hasn't been on a PWG show since All-Star Weekend 7. For such a long time, he was a regular so it's nice that he's back for the biggest shows of the year.

Well I don't care for Reseda but its my only show I can attend this year so I'll manage. I hear the crowds have gotten bigger since I moved in February. I hope there are some front row tickets left on Sunday when I can buy tickets. Steen is a strong announcement, good start. I just hope to get a seat if the front row is sold out.

Amen, brother.

I love PWG's graphics department. Year after year, they bang on all cylinders with these incredibly well-made tourney pages. Bar none the best in all of wrestling, including WWE's site.

As for Steen, to me he'll always be more PWG than anywhere else (excluding IWS), so I'm always happy so see him appear. Doing so at BOLA is icing on the cake.

Not going to bitch about Reseda, but all I want to say is: for the sake of a big night feel, have some cool lighting there like in 2006. Just a minor detail, but could work.

I think these 2 nights are going to solidify PWG as the top North American indy going today. ROH just had probably their most important show of the year, and the reviews have been mixed, to say the least. On the other hand, 8 of the 9 PWG shows so far this year have been described as "awesome" to "amazing".

BOLA is going to blow the roof off the joint, and if that weren't enough, we get Liger and RVD early next year. It's a good time to be a PWG fan, that's all I can say.

me too, yeah the owner is a dick and the search before entering is stupid but there's a motel in walking distance and the beer if fairly priced. the only thing is PWG's drawing a pretty damn big crowd now days. it feels unsafe when it gets that crowded. if i was by myself i wouldn't give a fuck but i have my family with me. oh well i'll definately be buying this show on DVD and pretty sure i'll be at the wrestle reunion show.

I'd love to go to this but driving from WA costs too much and i really want to see Liger and RVD in PWG so I'm gonna save for that.

For Threemendous II i stayed in the Howard Johnson and it was like a 2-3 min walk to the legion hall. Cost about $90-100 which wasn't bad when split 3-ways. :)

Love the BOLA logo 'Shopped on LTP's shirt. Also love seeing fresh faces in the tourney. This is a huge opportunity for those two.

Can't wait to see who's announced next.

Ordered my front row seat this morning!

I can only go to Night Two unfortunately, but at least it's much better than not being able to go at all.

I saw last night's FIP results, and apparently Davey Richards will be in the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup the same day as BOLA. Kinda disappointing for Davey not to be a part of BOLA, being a former winner and all. Also a pair of CHIKARA shows are happening that weekend, so everyone's Mike Quackenbush-BOLA pipe dream won't be happening again this year.

Anyway, with that said... here are my predictions for the last BOLA spots:

4. Joey Ryan - A lock
5. Scott Lost - A lock. This tourney would also be Lost's 2nd ever chance of any kind to win the PWG title. His first amazingly being the Bad Ass Mother 3000 tournament in August 2003.
6. Chris Hero - See above
7. El Generico - Another lock. In fact, he would be the only wrestler to compete in all five BOLA tourneys.
8. Human Tornado - Not really a lock, but pretty likely.
9. Kenny Omega - My pick to win the tourney right now.
10. Chuck Taylor - Seems likely.
11. Kenny King - Doesn't sound like the match with Davey was too impressive, but I think he deserves another shot. King vs Lost would be great.
12. PAC - Seems like a long shot, but who wouldn't want to see him back for this?
13. Necro Butcher - Token Necro appearances are good for variety.
14. Brian Kendrick - Pretty likely
15. Roderick Strong - Very likely
16. Token BOLA wildcard entry - There is always that one wrestler that no one ever predicts, so this spot is for that person.

I suppose the Bucks could also very easily be in the tournament, but I'd much rather see them in a tag of some sort. They are the tag team champions after all, they probably shouldn't be going after the world title anyway.
