I Am Hollywood wrote:Not to sound like I am complaining, but I am pretty mindblown that NONE of the DGUSA Americans are booked. I know some have voiced their opinions on it but I personally would have loved to have seen Gargano/Swann/Sami/Fox/Uhaa/Cannon (if he is booked) on a PWG show, especially considering that none of them are booked for the PWS show and I'd imagine that they will be around for the weekend anyway, so really why don't they have some kind of match? Not to mention with it being an afternoon show, I doubt too many fans would really have an issue with more wrestling on the show.

Both of these matches will most likely be fine. They're pretty random though and will probably offer next to nothing in psychology or storyline (and yes, I realize that 90% of the PWS & PWG shows are along those lines). But if there happened to be a chance that Chucky T, Gargano and Swann could stick around through Sunday, I think they could put together a nice little angle for the convention pitting The Fightin' Taylor Boys vs Ronin with Chuck caught in the middle. I mean who knows when both of these factions will be together on the same show again? Why not have some fun with it and create a little angle that crosses over all three shows?
For instance, during the DGUSA show have Ronin do a promo over intermission. While they're out there talking have Brian Cage and Ryan Taylor show up like they haven't seen Chuck in awhile and want a little family reunion. The Taylor Boys get all excited that they'll have Chuck at ringside with them on Sunday only to have Chuck say he's leaving the next day and won't be there. This creates a little friction and the Taylors lay a guilt trip on Chuck because he's more devoted to Ronin than he is to his own family. Chuck reluctantly says he will stick around for the PWG show.
The next night at the PWS show have Gargano & Swann get in to an altercation with the Taylors, ending with challenges being thrown back and forth. Chuck tries to play peace maker, but when all is said and done we've got a grudge tag match set up for Sunday afternoon.
Finally they face off at the PWG show. And even though Chuck remains neutral during the match, he winds up accidently helping Ronin get the victory. Ryan and Brian Cage completely lose it and attack Chuck, ending the partnership but establishing a fued for down the line. That's a pretty simple overview. But I think if done right, this could be an awesome subplot to play out over the three days in LA. And who knows, it might even get a little fan emotion involved instead of just a random tag match with nice spots.

That's really shitty. A multi-fed angle that doesn't benefit DG or PWS, with the best scenario being Chuck facing Cage and Ryan Taylor in grudge matches or with a Ronin partner. If anything the Taylors need Chuck to keep people caring about the team.
eastbay510 wrote:I dont think that angle would work at all, in DGUSA Chuck Taylor is a serious wrestler, I dont think having the Taylor boys would help him at all, I dont know if all the DGUSA fans who dont follow PWG even know who the Taylor Boys are to be honest... What I would like to see down the line is Brian Cage denounce the Taylor name, and have him and Ryan Taylor denounce the gimmic. I would still have them team up, as they are a pretty good team, i would like to see them repackaged, mabey with a real tag team name.

Why red, white and black?
