ASW9 Discussion Thread

Postby Tom123 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 1:59 pm

With the shows now just under 2 months away, I thought it would be appropriate to start a discussion thread. I mean from now their's bound to be more news in the coming weeks and months.

Looking at the dates the weekend has fallen on, I'm starting to think that maybe the reason there so many new talents have been announced for the show. On the 23rd AAW are holding their 9th anniversary event with a few PWG regulars on their roster page, I'd expect some to compete one night in PWG and the other in AAW. The likes of Sami Callihan, Samuary Del Sol, Michael Elgin, Davey Richards & Kyle O'Reilly appear on AAW's roster page so they'll be semi-regulars at minium.

Does this mean that if Sami's scheduled to appear at AAW over that weekend, that perhaps he'll loose his match to Drake Younger?

I wondered about this too. It is what it is I guess. I expect Drake to win either way. For someone who has been in the company for such a short amount of time, he is very deserving of a title shot. Dude busts his ass every time he appears for PWG.

Not only does he bust his every time he wrestles but you can tell how excited he is to be in this company, and his passion for wrestling every time he comes out of the curtain. If you were to tell me a year ago that this much talent is all on the same shows, there is no way I would have ever thought Drake younger may main event both shows. Congrats to him, he definatly deserves it, and regardless of what happens at ASW9 I hope he gets a chance to hold the PWG title at some point.

I concur. I hope Younger gets that belt. Also, the bonus is that if he ever wins the PWG strap, it will ALWAYS be a Guerrilla Warfare match, based on how he wrestles. Ha!

I want Drake to get the belt, but I don't want to see Coles reign end just yet, I think if this match happens it will be a situation where both guys make each other. Not saying they arnt already great, but I think it would solidify Drake as on of the top guys in PWG and make Cole look like a huge dick for heeling up on one of the most over guys.

Chuck Taylor @SexyChuckieT:
PWG shot down my new tag name for me and Johnny Gargano. Unfortunately it won't be the Young Bucks vs. Niggas in Paris on night one.
