THIRTEEN

Postby toby80 » Sat Jun 18, 2016 3:15 am

So the card for THIRTEEN (July 29th) has been announced!

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Kyle O'Reilly (PWG World Title)

The Young Bucks vs. Death By Elbow

Roderick Strong vs. Timothy Thatcher

Adam Cole vs. Tommy End

Marty Scurll vs. Sami Callihan

Trevor Lee vs. Jeff Cobb

Chuck Taylor vs. Trent?

I really like this line-up. Very solid overall, with a killer main-event.

Bring it on!

So. Damn. Hyped.
Discovered PWG in October of 2014, and I've been hooked ever since.

As much as I love the Bucks I want them to lose the titles so fucking bad.

I agree but I find it odd that the DBE v Bucks match was not listed as a title match when it was announced on twitter

Yea, I noticed that too. Not gonna lie, that worries me. Like I said I love the Bucks, but the tag division needs some kind of spark badly. This may be that spark, and you know Hero and Dunn will be around way more often than the Bucks. The lack of tags this year has been noticable, DBE would be a fresh and exciting addition to shows.

Yeah, PWG's tag division looked like it might be headed toward some good change last year, then the Bucks won and a lot of the new teams they had started booking disappeared. The tag division's practically dead now. That's why I maintain not having a DDT4 this year was a bad idea.

Say The Bucks beat DBE, where does the tag division go from there? In 2016 this is only the 4th tag match, and only 4 teams have been booked the entire year; Bucks, Ricochet/Sydal, reDRagon, and DBE. Ricochet/Sydal and RD have already lost title matches this year, and they are in NJPW a lot of the time, so I don't see them with the titles. Hero is on every show, I imagine Dunn would prioritize PWG, and he doesn't have NJPW shows that would devide his time. Also Hero is one of the most outstanding wrestlers this year, him with a belt just makes sense.

I've thrown in ideas for PWG to revamp the tag division this year, if anything, I still say have DDT4 be the last show of the year at least.

Anyways, its been revealed Roderick Strong is leaving ROH this weekend, will this show be the last we see of Strong as well?

Looks that way. Word on the street is he isnt taking bookings after July, and we have probally all heard the NXT rumors at this point.

I like Thatcher a lot, but to be honest, I wish he had a more meaningful final match to be honest.

Yeah, Strong's to NXT come September. So this is likely it. Y'know, looking back, I still to this day don't get why he didn't win BOLA in 2014. The entire story going up to BOLA was built around him finally winning it-then, he lost in the finals yet a third time, only to then beat Kyle O'Reilly for the title immediately after Ricochet, the actual winner, failed to do so. So why not just have Strong win in the first place? Sure, Ricochet vs. O'Reilly was a great match, but why the extra steps? Anyway, Tommy End will be doing the Gargano thing with EVOLVE and NXT, so this is it for him too. And I think Cole's ROH contract is up soon too!

And speaking of Ricochet, we all know he is rumored to be joining NXT once LU is done filming in a couple months.

Actually, LU apparently threw a pretty big contract Ricochet's way that would allow him to continue taking NJPW/indie dates. He'd be getting paid a lot more than most NXT guys-supposedly. And even if the WWE signed him, he wouldn't be allowed to appear on TV before sometime next year.

I somehow was able to get 2 general admission seated. Waiting for that page to refresh and load at 8pm makes the butthole pucker. Fuck, getting PWG tickets is more stressful than anything I do at work hahahahahaahha

Understandably, the majority of excitement is being generated by BOLA right now, but I'm really looking forward to THIRTEEN as well.

Has the potential to be a real sleeper hit.
