9/22 Dragon Gate PPV Results - All titles defended

Postby Lord Akiyama » Sat Sep 22, 2007 11:20 am

This was the finale to the Storm Gate tour and was entitled Dragom Storm 2007, with all five championships being defended. Which why I am considering it to be a PPV show. If it is not, let me know.

September 22 - Ota-ku Gymnasium - Tokyo

Dark Match: APE Kimata and Katsuo defeated Shisa Boy and Super Shisa
- Katsuo pinned Shisa Boy with the Katsuotoshi.

1. Typhoon (Anthony W. Mori and Dragon Kid) and Pac defeated The Muscle Outlaw'z (Dr. Muscle, Genki Horiguchi and Magnitude Kishiwada)
- Pac pinned Dr. Muscle with the Corkscrew Shooting Star Press

2. Open the Owarai Gate: Kikutaro defeated "Hollywood" Stalker Ichikawa with the Shining Kikuzard
- After the match, Stalker's mother came out to appeal to Kikutaro and the fans to consider this a successful defense, since the belt was one of the few things Stalker had left.

3. Open the Brave Gate: Masato Yoshino defeated Yasushi Kanda with the Sol Naciente to win the championship
- Post-match, the MO'z assaulted Kanda before K-ness made the save. Yoshino taunted him, saying in pro wrestling, the strongest wins, not the best man (the opposite of what K-ness said after pinning Cyber Kong sometime ago). Look for this to become the next chapter in the Yoshino vs. K-ness rivalry.

4. Muscle Outlaw'z Banishment Match: Kinta Tomoaka defeated Gamma with the Styles Clash
- The finish saw all the MO'z attacking their co-leader Gamma to help Kinta win. Genki called Gamma weak and completed his banishment from the group. Naruki Doi is now sole leader of the group.

5. IJ Tag Team Championship: Tozawajuku (Keni'chiro Arai and Taku Iwasa) defeated Typhoon (Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka) to win the championship
- Arai pinned Yokosuka with the Firebird Splash
- The match was said to have stolen the show and was of main event caliber.

6. Open the Triangle Gate: Don Fujii, K-ness and Masaaki Mochizuki defeated New Hazard (Cyber Kong and Shingo Takagi) and Kota Iibushi to retain the championship
- Masaaki pinned Kong with the Sin Saikyou High Kick
- Post-match, Masaaki called out Kong and said that it didn't matter if it were by flash pin or or a different method, Kong lost because he is weak. This sets up Masaaki vs. Shingo at the October Korakuen show.

7. Open the Dream Gate: CIMA defeated Naruki Doi with the Schwein Redline to retain
- Post-match, CIMA and Doi praised one another. However, the rivalry was still on as Doi we would challenge again, and again... and again if need be, until he won the title. Afterward, CIMA invited any challenger out there to try and beat him. He also noted that after the IJ Tag match, he felt great pressure to follow it.

Everything looks good. Gamma is gone from Dragon Gate now, completely. Doi & Yoshino will be challenging Marvin & Suzuki next weekend for the GHC Junior Tag titles.
