ROH's Trios Tournament

Postby Chicago's Finest » Sat Nov 10, 2007 1:59 pm

Does anyone else besides me think that this is a bad idea? I don't really like the concept, or all of the stables in ROH. I don't feel like any of the stables mean anything except the NRC and maybe the age of the fall. Anyways, I have the oppertunity to go to this show, as it is only about 45 minutes away from my house. I was contemplating not going, but then i remember it is ROH, and will definetly deliver on some level. So what do you guys think, should I go or no?

dude its 45 mins from your house, theres people like me that would kill to have that luxury. There are some fans who have driven 10+ hours for a show. My longest is 4 hours for PWG.

Didn't ROH have a trios tournament back in 2005 and 2006, were they any good?

Yeah, the Embassy won.

Alex Shelley and Jimmy Rave have used their title shots, but Abyss is still owed one.

Homicide, Rocky Romero & Ricky Reyes won in 2005.

And the Embassy used all of the shots as Shelley's went to Xavier and Abyss' went to Shelley.

The 2006 Trios Tourney wasn't much of a tournament - it was only two rounds with 4 pretty weak teams involved.

Sydal/Evans/Yang
Whitmer/Jacobs/Pearce
Jay Fury/Sal Rinauro/Tony Mamaluke
Rave/Shelley/Abyss

So yeah, this will be their first REAL trios tourney since '05.
