Lawler is just a joke. He only works his little run-down, second-rate, Memphis Wrestling promotion, acting like it's a big deal when it's the biggest joke promotion in the entire United States. There's a reason WWE cut it as their developmental territory almost ten years ago. Lawler gets booked to the other companies around TN and no shows them.
Southern wrestling is a joke. Some people complain about the indy wrestling they have around the area, when they get guys like LAX and Joey Ryan (just to name a random example for the West and East coast) while in the South, we get trash wrestling with trash wrestlers, working the same type match filled with roll-ups and bodyslams, one after one on the same show. No big names, just washed up nobodies like Brian Lawler and Eugene.
The last good indy show I went to in the South outside of ROH coming to Nashville was IWA: Deep South which had Low Ki, Chuck Taylor, Quackenbush, Hallowicked, and Sweeney; which we had to drive five hours to get to. Now that company's shut down.
Lawler is just the worst.
