$20 PWG ticket this Sat.

Postby trixster_73 » Mon Jan 16, 2006 12:04 am

Can someone explain why PWG costs $20 this Sat, when normally it's $15 for one night? I got a full time job and can afford it, but it's not like I'm getting free nachos or some hot dog for my extra 5 bucks.

From what I heard, several TNA guys have raised their booking fees for indy shows. So I'm sure that's probably the reason ticket prices have been raised.

i might go to the sat. one, though i doubt it. there'd be 3 of us and i doubt we could rake up $60 in time. though i do plan to go to one eventually :D the shows are pretty close to where i live

i ALWAYS take exactly $20. $5 for my pre-show 211 steel reserve 40oz's so that the five hour waits in line for my 1st show seat can be enjoyable. this sucks. just fire super dragon and free up some money.

You gotta admit it though. Weren't y'all gettin' used to paying $15 for regular shows and $20 for the double show weekends? I mean $5 ain't much, but it's a 33% ticket hike. I just hope I'm seeing 33% less random run ins and cheap PWG championship match endings for my $5. And mama Talwar betta be cookin' up them nachos again. And that $5 BETTA not be going to support Joey's 13 year old hooker fetish.

Mama Talwar is amazing.

PWG used to charge $20 during their inaugural year. They lowered their prices when other SoCal companies were still charging $20. I'm gonna assume the extra $5 bucks is for funding the European trip?

Found this on DVDR, which was taken from the Wrestling Observer:

TNA is upsetting some wrestlers by proposing that they control Indy dates for the guys, and charge more and then keep a commission.

So yeah, I guess that has gone into effect and has effected the booking fees for most of the TNA guys now and now the ticket prices for fans. Thanks TNA!

the incease sucks and really 20 bucks is not really that bad for the in ring product that pwg produces IMO. what sucks is if tna starts doing house shows like they have plan then maybe no more tna guys outside of tna just a though although if it even happens it most likely will be a few years away.

A five dollar increase is a big deal IMO only because those who don't have full time jobs can't make 5 dollars in a matter of 15 minutes (which can be taking a number 2 on the clock). I mean when I was in high school five bucks was a butt load. Any how I'm trying my best to make this show 20 dollars or 15.

If you all can't afford $20 then dig a shallow hole and bury yourself in it. Any 18-40 healthy male who doesn't have a full time or even part time job should be fighting in Iraq. "yeah, I'm not working right now, I'm waiting for the right thing to come along....ah, by the way homes, can I borrow $20 to go to a wrestling match." Nice. PWG is well worth $20 bucks, don't be lazy, get a job. This will lead to $, which leads to potentially a girlfriend, and you'll be able to afford PWG tickets. Unfortunately, you will most likelyl lose the girlfriend once she realizes you like wrestling, but what the hell.

girlfriend

Postby HeartPunch33 » Thu Jan 19, 2006 2:59 pm

That's the spirit! That's positive talk. Nice. But, does this hypothetical girlfriend also have to like the fake championship belt? That might be taking it a bit too far....but hey, that girl might in fact exist. If so, you'd better not bring her to a show, you might lose her. She'll take one look at your belt..one look at dude's Super Dragon tatoo and that will be all she wrote..........
