I was wondering what your thoughts (or anyone else for that matter) are on the following shows: Straight To DVD, Afterschool Special, Jason Takes PWG and both nights of the Bicentennil?
-Straight To DVD: Solid event. Joey/Generico was a fun match with some good comedy. Hero/Lost was a show stealer, and their styles matched up really well. The tag match was really good, but Petey kinda dragged it down for me. He didn't sell the Psycho Driver after the match, and Dragon did more selling from getting his head rammed into Petey's mid section, which makes Petey look stupid.
-After School Special: Truley underrated event. The opening tag title match was really nuts. Dragon and Davey did a great job at beating up on Generico and Tornado. Shelley/Perkins was a really good technical match, but it went a little long. Bosh/Steen was pretty awesome. They had a great match, and despite the finish it was one of the better matches of the Post-BOLA PWG era.
-Bicentennial Birthday Extravaganza Night 1: A really good show. Mostly a show that would cater more to older fans of PWG but still good for the newbies to get into for the fun. The AXP/Arrogance match was amazing and so emotional. Joey/Excitment was also fun, and the six man tag match was so awesome. Great story there.
-Bicentennial Birthday Extravaganza Night 2: Another really good show, and would cater more to new fans just getting into the promotion. Perkins/Richards was really good, and Ronin/Quick was a great way to get Quicksilver over as a legitimate singles wrestler. Steen/Dragon was the best match of the show, and second best of the weekend. Just a wicked brawl with awesome heat.
-Jason Takes PWG: Let me start out by saying that the main event sucked big time, but the Guerrilla Warfare match more than made up for it. Just some sick shit there with lots of great and brutal spots. Generico/Tornado was also a great match to open up the show with. Reyes/NOSAWA had some fun spots in it with a good competitve match mixed in with the goofiness. Aside from the main event and Sexxy Eddy, this show was really good.
