Sonjay Dutt - PWG Worthy?

Postby Rish To The Rosh » Wed Feb 08, 2006 7:45 pm

I don't exactly know how well respected Mr. Dutt is around these parts, but I was just watching a match of his from Zero-One MAX, and it got me thinking; why the hell has this guy never been in a PWG ring before?

The man is talented, he may not be the best damn wrestler the world has ever seen, but he's a good entertaining spot wrestler who's graceful and is quite versatile. I think he'd suit a lot of wrestlers in PWG and have some enjoyable matches, but I don't know if there's a specific reason why they don't use him. They seem to use a lot of other TNA wrestlers who need to fly out from the east coast, and he doesn't work ROH the day after most shows too, so that's a plus.

Perhaps his asking price is too much, or maybe he pissed one of the owners off at a CZW show once or something, I have no idea. If there is a big reason that I don't know about, just tell me and I'll never speak of the evil human being ever again.

As long as I can see the Hindu Press in a PWG ring, I'm a happy guy.

I say nay. He's good and all. But I don't think he's worth a plane ticket, or the asking price. That's why PWG has guys like Tornado and Sky and Generico for.

I don't think Sonjay wrestles much in America anymore. Mainly just TNA and an indy here and there. I bet he could put on some great matches with guys in PWG though. Super Dragon, Human Tornado, Kevin Steen, Jimmy Yang. The list could go on........ Dutt vs Topgun Talwar?!? :D

Sonjay rules. 8)

I'm pretty sure he'll be wrestling at every UWF show (a new indy fed in VA), as he was there last time selling his DVD during intermission.. I took my 3 PWG DVD's a I bought up to him, he signed them, andthen said, "Why are you getting me to sign those? I'm not even on them", then I asked "Oh yah, how come (being the fool that I am)?", and he just looked at me and said, "Buy the Sonjay DVD, $20."

Saw him live at AWS, not worth it. Anyone like him who is in the middle of the road in popularity is not worth the flight. By that I mean he's not a Star that can Draw (Joe, Styles, Hero) or is he an unknown up and comer (Steen, Generico, Claudio)

He's really not that great either we have workers in Socal that do his style better then he does. Now Low Ki on the other hand! (just kidding)

So I'm the only one here that thinks he's crap then? (His match at Universal Uproar was utterly woeful)

Shannon Moore is actually a decent wrestler, Dutt however is okay at best. Dutt probably isn't cheap and not really worth flying in as he offers nothing that local talent can't do and Tornado, Generico, Scorpio Sky and Quicksilver are better than him.

Eh, I'd say no. He's alright and I was a huge fan in 2003/early 04 but my love for him has fizzled and theres better guys in SoCal that can get the job done.
