El Generico joins Tozawa-juku?

Postby Lord Akiyama » Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:33 pm

The past month, Keni'chiro Arai noted that the Tozawa-juku unit would be graced with a "foreign exchange student" in their ranks who would debut that the July 10 Korakuen Hall show. Based on the results and the card schedule for upcoming shows, it appears the new member of the group is El Generico. With the dissolving of NEW HAZARD, Generico would have been coming in on his current tour without any sort of alignment. His current schedule sees him teaming with members of Tozawa-juku and even scored the victory for his team at the Korakuen Hall show with Akira Tozawa and Shinobu against Real Hazard of Gamma, Genki Horiguchi and Yasushi Kanda with Generico pinning Genki after a Brainbuster. On the July 11 NEX 2nd Anniversary show, Generico will face PAC in a "Los Angeles Import Special" as part of further promotion for both the upcoming Friday LA Extreme Night show and the planned PWG in Japan show for next year. He is confirmed in teaming with Taku Iwasa and Keni'chiro Arai on July 20 and 21 against Typhoon on both nights (July 20 against Anthony W. Mori, Dragon Kid and PAC; July 21 against PAC, Ryo Saito and Susumu Yokosuka). If Generico is indeed the foreign exchange student, then he will remain on tour up into the July 27 KOBE WORLD PPV.

I'm also excited to see that Tozawa is on a diet again.

Footage of Generico being introduced to Tozawa-juku and Tozawa starting to look slimmer.

I just realized Generico is cutting a promo in that picture. So he's not mute in Dragon Gate?

That would be a riot: Generico's promos are just him repeating "Ole" over and over again, and he has a translator that tells the audience what Generico's really saying:

Generico: "Ole ole, ole ole ole. Ole, ole ole. Ole ole ole ole, ole ole ole!!"
Translator: "Generico-san says he is very happy to be here in Dragon Gate, and apologizes for not being able to address his fans in Japanese, but Alta Vista's Babelfish is notoriously unreliable Mexican-Japanese translator."
