Please Super Dragon, WR5

Postby Madvillian » Sun Sep 05, 2010 12:25 pm

ok, I know Silverback is tired of hearing us wanting Super Dragon to come back, BUT.... WR5 next year will feature a "Legends" Battle Royal for the main event of the PWG Show. What better PWG legend to be in that Royal than Super Dragon? Who care's if he's hella fat and out of shape, because all those other "legends" will be just as fat and outta shape too, not to mention old as fuck. I'm just sayin', that match would be completely awesome to see Super Dragon come out and beat down all the "legends" perpertratin' in his PWG ring. And that's the last Super Dragon topic I will ever post #bahamas

Seconded.

Plus, it's just a Battle Royal. He wouldn't even necessarily have to take a bump if he didn't want to.

I could disagree with this and say its a stupid idea but I honestly think its an awesome idea plus we get Super Dragon in a match with Tito Santana and Bob Orton, Jr. and what other legend that'll be involved in the battle royal and seeing Super Dragon in there would be awesomely out of place

Yeah enough with this weak-ass "he's never coming back" nonsense. Just get in the ring again and go out like a man.

He did go out "like a man". He had the best brawl of 2008 with Joey.

Yet retarded fans continue this tirade.

A random brawl that, if I remember correctly, wasn't even part of the card? That fans are still asking for more shows that that was hardly satisfying as a farewell. I don't know if it was even intended as a farewell.

It's A Gift...And A Curse, April 5th 2008, inbetween match 4 & 5 -- Joey Ryan & Super Dragon Street Fight, before that All Star Weekend 6 - Night Two
January 6, 2008 -- Special Return Grudge Match, Super Dragon vs. TARO, in what many describe as a piss poor match. This could be his last chance at redemption and leaving on a high note. Honestly, I've yet to see the street fight, i should get around to that ;)

His last match was actually teaming with Davey Richards vs. Steen and Generico at DDT4 2008. Which... didn't turn out so well. At this point, I don't think SD will ever wrestle again. We just have to accept it.

Anyway, off the SD topic (but related to WR5), I want to see MARTY JANNETTY in this thing. I know you are reading this HighSpots, make it happen!

Super Dragon is retired. He worked the scene since 1998 and his stiff style, while so entertaining, torn up his body. Let go, for Super Dragon's own good.

What I would be wouldn't mind seeing, and I think another forum user suggested this, is a new Super Dragon related character. If SD gives the blessing, I think a young worker who very good but struggling to establish an identity could take up a Suger Dragon like mask. I think it'd be a nice way to carry on the legacy, ala the Lucha tradition. Hell, if the worker has the skills, I seriously think it'd get mad over in at least PWG.

That's just a thought.

Celt, I think that was brought up not long ago.

Dragon's never coming back. He flew around like crazy for years and fucked his body up, then changed his style to plain stiff and fucked it up even more.

If anyone has listened to Excalibur's interviews, both those guys run the show, and it's easier to sit back and not have to perform.

Now that would be awesome but who would he get to take it over

Dragon had more charisma than 90% of the indy scene without saying a word.

Whoever filled his shoes would have a lot of work to do.

Fuck, why not just find a replacement and have him wrestle? Sure, it'd have to be a secret and everything, but it'd still be dope. Maybe Kevin Steen. He looked pretty convincing wearing the Super Dragon attire. I just wanna have one last memory of my obviously favorite wrestler.

The people running Wrestlereunion are booking the Battle Royal. PWG is just hosting it.

In the Battle Royal or on the regular PWG show, either would be fine with me. I just really want to see Marty Jannetty at this thing. But it would be cool if they did do something fun with the ex-WWF guys as part of the normal PWG show. Something like The Young Bucks and Marty Jannetty Vs. El Generico, Paul London and someone (Tito Santana?) could be pretty entertaining. I mean when else would they ever have the chance to do stuff like that?

gotta agree with this especially, I suggested already in another thread that PWG should tape some promos and skits at least during the WrestleReunion weekend, maybe bring back the old banana promos or something

Ebassen, I think you need to re-read my original post because I was saying the opposite to what you thought I said; I was saying the days of the original Super Dragon are over. I also pointed out that someone else had mention the new Super Dragon character idea before me.
