Most Underrated Wrestler in PWG

Postby Langdon Alger » Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:03 pm

Who do you feel is the most underrated in PWG? I feel Johnny Goodtime is vastly under used, he's insanely over and shouldn't be relegated to opening and tag team matches.

I don't feel anyone is really underrated right now.

PWG has been doing an awesome work as of late pushing those who have the skills and/or are liked by the crowd. Great stuff. Only the Cutlers are "underrated", but they're clearly holding them for a major push.

I feel though that Brandon Gatson is massively overrated, but that's a totally different topic.

Goodtime is definitely underrated. I also think Rock Romero is extremely underrated as a wrestler.

My vote goes to Goodtime too. He almost kills himself each show and he's still mainly doing openers.

I really like LTP, but I'm a sucker for spot monkeys, I'm not sure how well he can work in a one on one match. Goodtime is probably the right answer, I would of liked to see him get one of the matches against Hero that Bonham/Gatson got. His match against Strong at BOLA is still my favorite tournament match from 09. Hopefully them Taylor Boys vs RockNES monster has legs so he can get out of the openers.

I also feel Johnny Goodtime is underrated and Gatson is overrated.

Nothing against Gatson, I just don't think he's as good as PWG tries to make him out to be sometimes. He still has a ways to go.

I agree Goodtime is very underrated, surprising fact to learn was that Goodtime has been wrestling for a while, maybe around 2004 or earlier, so odd that its only recently that PWG has been booking Goodtime

but another guy who I thought was really underrated in the history of PWG were definitely Hook Bomberry, Lil' Cholo, and probably Disco Machine

I've got to re-post just to mention Brandon Bonham. Most if not all of his matches were ace.

Too bad he's apparently gone again.

Looking back in the year and a half that Goodtime has been in PWG, he's only had three singles matches. Just seems like a shame.

^ Sadly not even that; he's only had 2 matches (against Roddy and Chucky T). It's indeed a waste of Goodtime.

Would be great if Hero got booked vs. Goodtime or Ryan Taylor to end the year (continue his "local trial" series).

Yes Hero vs Goodtime would be a great match to see. Speaking of matches, its almost Halloween and still nothing is announced shows wise. This really sucks. :x

It was three. You forgot about his debut match against Charles "Chuck" Mercury at "Secret Of Guerrilla Island".

Right! I stand corrected. I was thinking he debuted at Threemendous II for some reason.

Yeah, I agree, goodtime is very underrated. Same as ldp, which has seemed to disappear, rocky romero, petty avalon. In my opinion pwg should really push there local's instead of putting the belt on big, expensive names. WE NEED A CHAMP THAT CAN DEFEND THE BELT AND SHOW UP EVERY SHOW! P.S. When is buggy coming to pwg. Buggy and goodtime should take on joey and von eerie.

Yes PWG should develop more local talent and I agree put a belt on someone home grown. Also just having 7 matches on each show is not enough, I understand if they ran once a week, then yeah 7 matches makes sense but PWG runs once a month or less, so I think there should be at least 9 matches.

Claudio is a great champion and I hope he comes back to defend the belt again and again, at the same time I always said that we don't really need big ROH names, the local scene got great talent that is waiting for their opportunity to shine in PWG.
