Shocking appearance in Dragon Gate

Postby Lord Akiyama » Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:26 pm

Last night was the final Korakuen Hall show of the year for Dragon Gate and it featured a debut no one saw coming.

Following the opening eight-man tag in which Ricochet won for the WARRIORS unit over Team Doi, Team Doi came out in full force to mock CIMA over how Team Doi out numbered the seemingly weakened WARRIORS.

Then out came Brodie Lee, the other American member of WARRIORS International.

Kzy foolishly challenged Lee to a match right then and there. A little over thirty seconds later, Lee hit the Truck Stop for his Dragon Gate debut win and a show of force that WARRIORS just got stronger with him on their side.

---

Ricochet and Brodie Lee showing up in Dragon Gate to close out the year illustrates how serious the DGUSA project is to Dragon Gate. In fact, there's word than many of the DGUSA talent will indeed be making a number of trips across the Pacific to bolster their presence as members of the Dragon Gate family. Chuck Taylor in Dragon Gate would be awesome, if you ask me.

That is awesome. It will also help DGUSA get better talent here because they can see the payoff of future appearances in Japan.

His appearance has apparently resulted in future cards for the remainder of the tour featuring Brodie additions. On tonight's card, Brodie beat Super Shisa in a minute with a High Angle Power Bomb. Perhaps he'll be added on Sunday's FINAL GATE card, which will see Ricochet attempt to win Dragon Gate gold.

Ricochet scored the victory as he, CIMA, and Dragon Kid captured the Open The Triangle Gate Championship to close out 2010. Ricochet hit the Double Rotation Moonsault on Yasushi Kanda.

apparently Naruki Doi's team isn't happy and things the Double Moonsault should be an illegal move, why?

Team Doi attempted to petition for the Triangle Gate match from FINAL GATE to be thrown out. They said since the double moonsault was an illegal move, it should have been a DQ. Why is it illegal? No human should be able to do it, so Ricochet is obviously an alien. Aliens shouldn't be allowed to challenge for titles. Their petition didn't go very far.
