TNA Signs Kurt Angle

TNA has made a habit of signing former WWE talent (Dudley Boys, Rhino, Christian, etc.), but it's pretty clear that Kurt Angle is the single biggest signing in TNA history. When healthy, he's likely the best wrestler in the world (aside from maybe Chris Benoit). It'll be interesting to see how his contract situation plays out, as supposedly Angle was outright released from the WWE and not being paid the remainder of his contract to sit on his ass.

Anyone else think this was Kurt's way of getting out of ECW by asking for his outright release? 90 days puts his TNA debut somewhere right around that new prime time slot.

Vince Russo being hired, Low Ki beating a blow up doll, and Kurt Angle being a pill popping psycho will prevent TNA from being a threat to the WWE.

I don't even watch TNA, and I just marked out. Christ, that caught me off guard.

i didn't get to vote but i think signing Angle will help TNA out a lot. I for one am excited about Angle in TNA and the possible matches (Joe vs Angle) and i'm sure WWE fans will be tuning in to see what TNA is like after they find out they signed Angle.

Well, thank god the new Prime Time shows are going to be two hours long. Now only if we can see some new/young blood wrestle. I'm tired of seeing Jeff Jarrett every fucken week. They need to develop some young people. And let me guess, Angle's going to be holding the TNA World title within 2 months of signing? It's seems to be part of the contracts TNA gives out (i.e. Christian).
